Nintendo fans all over the world have been speculating about the release of a possible Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic ever since the NES Classic (kind of) hit the shelves late in 2016. And now Nintendo has officially announced it. The NES Classic came out in November of 2016 and instantly sold out everywhere due to limited stock being produced and led to widespread secondary market sales before and after the holiday season. Though the list price was $59.99 USD, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who spent less than $200 on one before Christmas with many auctions getting nearly $500 for one of the miniature systems.
The announcement of the SNES Classic was made via Nintendo’s Twitter account with a release date of September 29th, 2017 in North America. The miniature system will contain 21 classic games built into the tiny handheld replica of an SNES this time around with a previously unreleased Star Fox 2 with an $80 USD price tag. This is 9 games less than the NES Classic, but the system will come standard with 2 controllers unlike the NES version. In addition to Star Fox 2, the other games included are Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, F-ZERO, Kirby Super Star, Kirby’s Dream Course, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Star Fox, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!!, and Yoshi’s Island.

It may be time to dust off the old Pong paddles, ladies and gentleman. After more than 20 years, Atari is coming back with a brand new home gaming console. Much of this new console remains a mystery right now, but at some point in the presumably not-too-distant future, we will be able to get our hands on a brand new console from Atari and party like it’s 1977.
In a recent interview with VentureBeat, without revealing all that much about it, Atari CEO Fred Chesnais announced that the company is indeed getting ready to put out their first console since 1993’s failed Jaguar. The system is going to be titled Atari Box, or Ataribox, the company has yet to make it clear how it is going to be stylized yet, and not much else about the mysterious new console has been revealed thus far. Here is Chesnais’ very simple statement about the news of Atari’s forthcoming console.
“We’re back in the hardware business.”

Like most fighting game fans, I love me some MARVEL VS. CAPCOM. Not only is the premise ludicrous to the point of brilliance, but the way they reimagine Marvel (and non-fighting Capcom) characters as fighting game combatants is always fun to see. And it’s a great way to solve the “who would win, Ryu or Captain America” debates that used to rage across the world and tear families apart. E3 is still going strong and new gameplay footage has come out for the anticipated fighting game!

Exactly one year after making the initial announcement, Marvel & Insomniac have returned to E3 to debut the brand new gameplay trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man, a Playstation-exclusive confirmed to debut in 2018.
The nearly nine-minute video showcases 23-year-old Spidey reluctantly offering his superhero services to Wilson Fisk as he swings from rooftop-to-rooftop saving members of Fisk’s organization from a new, deadlier gang, who we learn by the end of the footage is run by Martin Li a.k.a. Mr. Negative. Also, if that wasn’t enough trouble, it sounds like this dangerous villain will have a personal connection to Peter Parker as he employs his Aunt May!
