One of the most beloved TV actors has to be Nathan Fillion of FIrefly and Castle fame. Now, he’s signed on for a brand new role that sounds pretty awesome.
A Series of Unfortunate Events has cast Nathan Fillion as the brother of narrator Lemony Snicket, who is played by Patrick Warburton. Assuming that the show continues to follow the narrative of the books pretty closely, Fillion will likely play Jacques Snicket, who appears briefly in the The Vile Village. Given that Jacques is a minor character in the books, we can bet that either Fillion won’t have too prominent a part to play or the show will expand the character’s role.
The cast will have a number of additions in Season 2. The Wrap reports that Tony Hale of Arrested Development, Sara Rue of Impastor, Lucy Punch of Into the Woods, and Roger Bart of Revenge are all on board as well, although no details about their characters are yet available. Even book readers would be hard pressed to try and guess who these actors could be playing, as Season 2 is set to cover five of the thirteen novels in the saga.
No premiere date has yet been set for A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2, so we don’t knew when we’ll get to see Nathan Fillion’s Unfortunate debut.
